Entre Orillas has taken the best of Flamenco and Cuban music and has merged it in a round trip between Havana and Barcelona. Melodies and rhythms that cross the Atlantic in both directions to find on each side that feeling that makes its sound so special.
The band takes its first steps in Barcelona led by flamenco singer Cristina López and cuban percussionist Carlos Cuenca, coupled with the research about the influence between these two musical styles. The line up is completed with the cuban singer Yadira Ferrer, the flamenco guitarist Marc López, flamenco percussionist Pablo Gómez and the flautist Juanma Gómez from Balearic Islands.
Cuban rhythms related to the pray of Orisha Oya in the mode of bulerías, tonás to the rhythm of batá drums, guajiras from Cuba mixed with the flamenco guajira interpretation... a long way to understand and blend this two worlds that have so much in common as shows their album "Siempre Viva y Clavel" released in February 2018.
