La 33, without doubt is one of the most exploding Colombian salsa projects at the present. La 33 has flourished in the Bogota's underground panorama in 2002 and has exported its music into the rest of Latin America, United States and Europe. La 33's super popular mambo version of the Pink Panther theme "La Pantera Mambo" opens the doors to other success and to a successful debut European tour in 2006 in prestigious festivals. La 33 came out when the salsa music scene was concentrated only in a soft style and pushed away by reggaeton. La 33's fresh descarga and their urban sound immediately took the attention of salsa lovers. It is a musical trip along all genres: boogaloo, son montuno, guajira, colombian jazz and some boleros. They has also rearranged some known New York's salsa songs form the 60s and 70s given them a powerful sound. La 33 has already performed in some important European Festivals: Estival Jazz Lugano (Switzerland), Latinoamericando (Italy), Antilliaanse Festival (Belgium), Festival Mundial, Amsterdam Roots Festival(Netherlands), Oye Africa (United Kingdom), Fete de la Musique (France),ROSKILDE (Copenhagen), Colours of Ostrava (Czech Republic), Colombianamente (London), Tempo Latino (France) and many others.
