Livet Nord Kulturproduktion is part of the "NEW SWEDEN" delegation including a selection Sweden's finest folk- and world music groups: New Tango Orquesta, Kaja, Tetra, Räfven, Andra Generationen and Krackel Kapell.

Livet Nord, who runs the company, is representing the world touring sextett New Tango Orquesta and the trio Kaja from Sweden, both highly acclaimed by the critics.


NEW TANGO ORQUESTA
- "Group Of The Year" (Folk- and World Music Gala 2010) and "Album Of The Year" (Manifest Gala 2011)!

Since the beginning in 1996, New Tango Orquesta have, on five albums and a countless number of international tours up to now, with the composer Per Stoerby as a leader, explored and developed the concept of "nuevo tango". With their unique mix of baroque music, tango, free improvisation, minimalism and romantique, they have gained territory all over the world with their special sound.

Kaja
Since 2005 Kaja have developed their own unique style of music reflecting both innovation and tradition. Klezmer and other Eastern European folk music is the foundation, adding layers of film and contemporary music, Tango, Swedish folk tunes and improvisation.

MORE ABOUT LIVET NORD
Livet Nord plays the violin in NTO and Kaja and she is running the label Kakafon Records (www.kakafon.com) which has released both Kaja's albums. She is also the chairwoman of the Swedish Artists Agency MCV and arranges the swedish festival "Popcornfestivalen" in Gothenburg (www.popcornfestivalen.se).
