Lu Colombo inicia su carrera en los años '70 como cantautora, guitarrista y productora musical.
Escribe también música para teatro y la televisión y canta en el mundo de la publicidad. En el año 1980 graba "Maracaibo" una balada de amor y de aventura que será poco después un suceso en las discotecas. La canción forma parte de la banda sonora de la película "Vacanze di Natale". En el 1981 Lu firma contrato con EMI. En el 2001 produce Maracaibo 20th Anniversary con ocho versiones inéditas del tema. Poco después incide "L'uovo di Colombo" disco en el cual se respiran varias influencias musicales, desde los años '30 al género latino, al pop de los años '70 y la canción de autor. Maurizio Geri y su grupo dan al disco un sound especial. "L'uovo di Colombo" es un disco íntimo y al mismo tiempo divertido, apto para el teatro, la radio y sobretodo el espectáculo en vivo. Lu ha poducido la nueva versión de Maracaibo en español cantada por La Juana y en estos momentos está grabando las canciones del cantautor Joaquín Sabina traducidas al italiano por Sergio S. Sacchi.
Lu started her career in the 70s as asinger and songwriter,guitarist and music producer. She also wrote music for the theatre and television and she sang for the advertising world. In 1980 she recorded Maracaibo, a ballad about love and adventure that was an immediate dance success.The song became part of the soundtrack of the movie Vacanze di Natale.In 1981 she signed with EMI.In 2001 she produced "Maracaibo 20th anniversary" that gave the song a new life. Later she recorded "l'Uovo di Colombo" where you can experience various influences, from the music of the 30s, to latin music, to the pop of the 70s. Maurizio Geri and his great group gave the music the distinct sound it has. L'uovo di Colombo is an intimate and yet funny record, wonderful for the radio, but also great for live gigs. Lu has recently produced the spanish version of Maracaibo interpreteted by La Juana and she is now recording the songs of Joaquin Sabina in italian.
