Monsieur Periné is a Colombian band that was formed in 2008 by Catalina Garcia (Voice), Santiago Prieto (Guitar and Charango) and Nicolas Junca (Guitar). The band flows between the romantic French jazz and swing from the late 1930´s through more contemporary and Colombian folklore rhythms such as Cumbia and Porro.
The first album of the band “Hecho a Mano” was released in 2012 and obtains “gold record” in Colombia.
In 2015, now under Sony Music Colombia, the band release it´s second record “ Caja de Musica”. This record won “Best New Artist” in the Latin Grammy´s inNovember 2015.
Currently, the band is touring in Europe and the USA in which they will have special acts in Fusion Festival (Germany) and Central Park Summer Stage in New York among others.
