10 years long lasted the difficult way of the band Ceddo from Dakar, until they could present themselves to a broad public. The collective of young musicians from HLM, a part of Dakar, in which most of the creative impulses come from, was founded in 1996. The young band members, spirited and longing for freedom, are demanding a rehabilitation of the cultural values of Africa. Their objectives manifest themselves in their style of music, the Afro-M'Balax, an effusive synthesis of sound from various origins. Since their breakthrough Ceddo has given numerous concerts and performed at many festivals in Senegal and other African countries.
