MA Sane was born in 1981 in Thiés, the second large city in Senegal. Already at the age of six years she made her first experiences on stage.
Since this time music was her big passion. As a teenager she began to write her own songs inspired by the rythms of Nina Simon ,Aretha Franklin ,Erika Badu, and Miriam Makeba.
Already before her 17. birthday she was one of a few female singers in Senegal. Nowadays together with the group Waa Flash she pass as one of the pioneers in the Senegalese music history, who dared to bring a CD to the market without the holy Mbalax.
Her charming voice connects traditional African music with Pop and Rock.
