The heartbeat of Bahia, the famous drummers from the Pelourinho, the historic centre of Salvador. Most people acquainted with Brazilian music will recognize the powerful drumming of OLODUM, characterized by their vibrant drums, hand-painted in the colours of Africa: red, gold, green and black. 25 YEARS SAMBA REGGAE -hot afro-brazilian rhythm, Olodum's unique samba-reggae and drumbeats.

Olodum was the first Afro-Brazilian movement in Bahia, who brought the Black Brazilian community to proudly gather in the streets of Salvador for Carnival and against Discrimination. The musical group, Banda OLODUM, developed from that movement and brought their rhythms and colours to stand for values of non-discrimination in all areas of social and political live. OLODUM invented the samba-reggae rhythm over 20 years ago and has ever since been performing worldwide. OLODUM became a trademark and reference of musical style. Very colourful and dancable live-performance and not to forget the group's social committment.
