MCV is a membership organization with a non-profit artist agency for freelance musicians who are based in Sweden. We represent over 650 musicians, in more than 260 different artists and groups in a wide range of genres. MCV is run by musicians and the agency's services are free of charge.

The Artist Agency
MCV acts like an agent for some of Sweden's finest groups and artists in a wide range of genres: Ballads & Songs, Cabaret & Stage, Classical & Choral, For Kids, Jazz & Improvisation; Rock, Pop & Blues - and last but not least in the field of Folk, Roots and World music. Our artists are found all over Sweden and they perform all over the world.

On our website www.mcv.se we offer artist presentations, sound samples, press photos, organizational assistance and direct contact with the artists.The website is our main tool in presenting and booking our artists, but you can always get support from or office.
We are happy to help you with all the information you need to bring the noises, sounds and sweet airs of Sweden to a venue near you.

The Organization
MCV Musikcentrum Väst (Music Centre West) is a publicly funded non-profit organization, representing professional freelance musicians from Sweden. We organize seminars and function as a resource centre for our members to support them in different aspects of their professional life. To realize various projects we cooperate with other organizations, festivals and promoters, in order to create more job opportunities for our own members, and to establish new forums for musicians and audience. We also have an active interest in Swedish cultural policy, with particular focus on issues of importance to freelance musicians.

Our office is located at "Musikens Hus" (House of Music) in Gothenburg, the capital of western Sweden.

MCV receives financial support from The Swedish Arts Council and Region Västra Götaland.
