Born in Pune India but raised in
Canada, Bageshree Vaze studied
North Indian classical vocal music
since the age of ten. She has also
been greatly influenced by western
pop, dance and electronica and has
developed her own unique musical
voice.



Bageshree is also an accomplished
and award winning dancer and since
the mid 90s has studied many
classical forms in India under Guru
T. K.Mahalingam, Guru Vempati
Chinna Satyam and Pandit Birju
Maharaj.



Her debut "Bagashree " was
released independently in Canada
last year and work has begun on a
new record with Karsh Kale, Tokyo's
DJ Gio and Canada's own Rise
Ashen each producing some tracks.
Her South Asian career is also taking
off. This winter will see a video/single
of Deewana released through BMG
affiliate Crescendo.



Her live show combines technology,
voice and dance into a stunning
multimedia, multicultural
presentation. Available for North
American dates summer 2004 and
European or Asian dates in Fall of
2004.
