Clube do Balanço, a very respected group in the music scenario of Brazil, got samba-rock back into the scene when released its first album in the year 2000, Swing Samba-rock. Samba-rock, a truly Brazilian rhythm born in the 60´s in São Paulo’s suburbs, at the parties thrown in the ghettos, where great music tunes had been played in vinyls all night by outstanding Djs. The group brings all this swing together to the ground and making people dance and really enjoying themselves.
Clube do Balanço has been 12 years touring around Brazil, 15 countries in Europe, New Zealand, Australia, Moscow, Singapore and China. The group has released 4 albums in which 3 are released in vinyl mídia, all in which have sold very well for an indi band. Albums that have been strongly appreciated by djs all around, because having any of these albums ensure them the right selection of samba-rock classic tunes ever in their sets.
Clube do Balanço is ready for a new realm of possibilities at Womex on tour as well as distribution.
