Presentation Fair Music - Oct. 26th 17:00 - 18:30 "Sala Mezquita"
mica - music austria introduces fair music, the first global initiative for fairness and justice in the music business.
fair music aims at preserving cultural diversity, safeguarding artistic freedom, establishing fair rules and regulations in the music business and strengthening the position of both artists and music listeners.
To reach these aims, together with the International Music Council of UNESCO (IMC) and music and cultural NGOs, the initiative is developing standards which music products and distribution channels must meet in order to receive a fair music seal of approval.
The online platform www.fairmusic.net offers both the latest information and an opportunity to join the initiative.
At this years Ars Electronica Festival in Linz / Austria the fair music award for achievements for fairness in the music business was given for the first time ever to companies and initiatives acting in a responsible and morally mature way.
At the current state of the initiative fair music is developing negotiating standards for production and trade of musical goods. The process is open to all stakeholders.
Presentation: October 26th 17.00 - 18.30 at "Sala Mezquita".
