Dizu Plaatjies is the former leader and founder of the group Amampondo and now heads his new project called IBUYAMBO. The ensamble performs music from sub-Saharan Africa on hand made instruments collected by Dizu or made by him and his musicians.
Their show includes singing, dancing and playing their arrangements of traditional and original works.
