Sizzle Ohtaka has performed to one of the largest audiences in the world: many will remember her singing the Japanese folk song Komoro Magouta at the closing ceremony of 1994 Winter Olympic Games in Lillehammer.
Her latest major work includes participation to the 2006 Northern Lights Festival in Troms, the 2004 Kazakhstan Jazz Festival and the 2004 Song Festival in Estonia as the first foreigner in the history of the festival. In 2004, Sizzle recorded the album Furusato with the Ellerhein Girls' Choir, who won the 2004 Grammy Award for Best Choral Performance. In August 2005 she performed with the Ellerhein Girls' Choir at Tokyo Opera City Concert Hall (Takemitsu Memorial Hall). In January 2005 she collaborated with Yoshiko Chuma for "Game/Play" at the Asia Society, New York.
In 2003, Sizzle Ohtaka performed at ICA London as part of the Futon Logic project a collaboration project with music and Japanese animation (manga) featuring the legenday manga writer, Tetsuya Chiba. In August 2003, she did her solo mask performance at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe which won excellent reviews.
In the field of performing arts, she performed with Station House Opera in 1990, and with Kazuo Ono, noted Butoh dancer in 1992, Monkey Business Class a theatrical production with Dumb Type and Hotel Pro Forma in 1996.
She also enjoys her role as musical director of the award-winning TV program, Nihongo de asobo, "Let's play in Japanese", in which she dances and sings with children.
