Captain Gumbo is the Netherlands' foremost cajun and zydeco band. In 1990 they released their first album 1 more 2 step and it became a hit. The single Allons à Lafayette even hit the charts.
The former members of popband Toontje Lager had great fun playing the music of Lousiana and they even went on a trip to the country of origin, where they gave several concerts.
After 11 years their fifth album is released. It has a more intimate sound and -as usual- has traditional and self penned cajun songs. But they have proven again that they are still the best
