Currently recording her 3rd album Joana Rios picks up influences such as Joyce, Lenine and Marisa Monte. Playing along with top musicians in Portugal her show is absolutely breath-taking.

Joana Rios started at age seventeen and quickly was recognized as one of the most exciting singers around. Her debut album "Joana Rios sings Ella Fitzgerald" peaked number one for several weeks.

After intensive touring playing theatres and festivals, she started recording her first album of original work. The album received high praise from the critic as one of the most interesting albums of 2007 showcasing Joana Rios' talent as a songwriter. She played in countries such as USA and Angola.

Joana Rios is now concentrated on taking her music abroad to other countries and her new record sure has the music and the voice necessary to do so.

Joana Rios has also produced records and is currently producing one for a spanish singer.
