Bolboreta is a music project created by the multi-instrumental Lydia Botana (accordion, piano, ukelele, guitar, vocals and percussions) from Fonteculler, A Coruña (Galicia, Spain), mixing all kinds of musical genres that commingle with lyrics about the world around us. In Bolboreta, Botana touches on everything from injustices to utopias in society. But don’t just judge the Galician Botana by her angelic good looks.
Bolboreta’s concerts are a cocktail of mestizo musical vitamins, a mix of different genres ranging from reggae to latin music, rock, rumba, punk, jungle, pop, ska and cumbia. In addition, they offer new takes on classics such as Bob Marley, Patchanka of Mano Negra, or the Galician traditional song “Tu nai é meiga”.
