The life and the work of Abdallah Ag Oumbadougou are strongly marked by the history of his people Tuareg ("blue men of the desert").
In exile, the Tuareg of Niger and Mali created songs of revolt. The texts sing the love, the nostalgia of the shredded country, the hardness of the exile.
The ancestral melodies were freely revisited. Abdallah Ag Oumbadougou was one of the first to be accompanied with the guitar. He fits fully in this literary and musical current modern.
After the agreements of peace and the return to Niger, he gives his first concert to Niamey in 1995 and proves to be a large popular singer near all the Natives of Niger.
