"Unanimously recognized as one of the best Portuguese singers, Filipa Pais returns to the stage with a new show alongside the great piano player João Paulo Esteves da Silva, for a journey through the world of lusophony.
With a maturity, experience and wisdom gained through many years of artistic life, the singer has been mainly dedicated to the reinterpretation of the Portuguese traditional songbook, in her solo work, with the band Lua Extravagante or in the projects ""Afinidades"" (""Affinities"",) with the Galician singer Uxía , and ""Músicas de Sol e Lua"" (""Songs of Sun and Moon""), alongside Vitorino, Janita Salomé, Rão Kyao and Sérgio Godinho. Filipa Pais has already visited fado (with António Chaínho) and gave voice to the music of other genres such as jazz, erudite music (with Michael Nyman) or the Brazilian music (with João Bosco, Chico César and Maria Bethânia). She also collaborated with João Afonso, Zeca Medeiros, Nour-Eddine, Filipe Mukenga and Tito, among others.
In this new show, emblematic themes of great Portuguese composers are crossed with famous songs from Brazil, Cape Verde, Angola and Mozambique, in a great tribute to the music, but with all the Portuguese that she brings in her voice.
