Ali Khattab (Cairo Egypt, 1977) starts teaching himself to play the guitar from age eleven, but his real drive and almost obsession with the guitar starts after his discovery of flamenco, at the age of thirteen.
He studied to play the guitar in different styles ranging from classical to jazz and blues, practicing hours and days on end to become what is, by then, his life's dream: a real guitarrista.
Inspired by his passion for Andalusian and Oriental music, Ali ventures his first steps as a composer, establishing a fusion project and playing traditional Andalusian and flamenco music with a distinctly Oriental feel; an approach that Ali still carries further in his compositions today.
