The project


Created around the compositions of Ludovic Jeanmart, the band has developed an ample sound fed on jazz harmony and rock energy. Between earth and sky, the groove and melody weave the foundations of a rich architecture, where constraints become the means of individual freedom. Composed of creative and experimented musicians, active in all different spheres of the Belgian musical scene, this band has put in place the basis of a fruitful collaboration, where individual know-how is a the service of collective sound; at that particular point where the result is greater than the sum of the entities composing it.

Created at the turn of the century, this project inspires itself from a diverse horizon of music ranging from Elton Dean to African music and has developed its own language within those styles. The band has produced itself regularly on Belgian and Foreign stages. Lately it had recorded for the compilation Ca balance pas mal a Liege produced by the cultural services of the Liege province. Many concerts and festivals are already planned for the 2007 season.


Le projet

Cree autour des compositions de Ludovic Jeanmart, ce groupe developpe un son ample nourri des harmonies du jazz et de l'energie du rock. Entre la terre et le ciel, le groove et la melodie tissent les liens d'une architecture riche, ou les contraintes servent de tremplin a la liberte de chacun. Forme de musiciens creatifs et experimentes, actifs dans differentes spheres de la scene musicale belge, ce groupe met en place les bases d'une collaboration fructueuse, ou le savoir-faire individuel se met au service du son collectif. La ou le Tout est plus que la somme des elements qui le compose.

Forme a l'aube des annees 2000, ce projet developpe son propre langage en s'inspirant d'influences diverses, d'Elton Dean a Tim Berne. Ce groupe s'est regulierement produit sur scene en Belgique et a l'etranger. Apres une participation en 2005 a la compilation Ca balance a Liege produit par le service culturel de la Province de Liege, GanSan vous presente aujourd'hui son nouvel enregistrement. Cote scene, plusieurs concerts et festivals sont d'ores et deja prevus pour la saison 2007.
