Born in Barcelona (1986) Sara Pi, grow up in a family linked to music for several generations. Granddaughter of an opera singer, and daughter of a cuban tres player, Sara Pi was raised under a huge mixed musical influences.
Her early musical career began at the legendary Jazz Si Club at the age of 13, singing jazz standards. She continued developing her career working in different bands of soul, funk, reggae and R&B.
In 2008, she directed her first project by the brazilian producer Erico Marco, with original compositions that blends the impact of R&B and soul with the richness of brazilian harmonies. From here is born an original and unique style where brazilian rhythms flows with the purest soul.
Clear reminiscences of artists such as Seu Jorge, Ed Motta, Paula Lima, merge with musical trends as EttaJames, Floetry, Amy Winehouse, Lauryn Hill and Erykah Badu.
She is currently promoting her first album "Burning". Sara Pi is without a doubt, the new promise of the musical elite of the national scene.
