David Boos studied Organ in his hometown Vienna, as well as in Amsterdam (M.A. 2009), and received an additional degree in Project Management in 2013. He was also a "visiting researcher" at the University of Notre Dame (USA) in 2007.

As a musician, David has won prizes in international competitions (Leiden 2004, Alkmaar 2009) and performed throughout Europe and in the USA. He is active as a soloist, ensemble musician and choir conductor. Besides that, he also published articles in specialist magazines.

David Boos has also a strong affinity with languages and works as a freelance-translator (Dutch-English-German). Amongst other projects he has been translating booklets and subtitles for the award-winning ("Preis der deutschen Schallplattenkritik" a.o.) organ documentaries of "Fugue State Films" (London).

Already during his studies he has been active in the organizational aspect of classical music. He founded and led several ensembles in the Netherlands and developed a series of successful festivals in Amsterdam and it's surroundings.

David believes, that his experience as an active musician - and thus his understanding of the needs of musicians - is a crucial element needed nowadays in navigating the classical music market in a way that allows musicians to not only survive, but to also thrive.

Currently David Boos is the Label Manager of Odradek Records, an exciting new artist-driven, non-profit classical label that dedicates itself to the highest artistic standards and sets out to contribute to a fairer landscape for musicians and public alike.
