Aziz Sahmaoui is a Maroccan Gnawa multi-musician with a remarkable voice; he has performed with the likes of Cheb Khaled, Karim Ziad's Ifrikya, Orchestre National de Barbes, and has been member of The Zawinul Syndicate (present The Syndicate) for the past 10 years.
His band Schengen Market plays a mix of Gnawa fusioned with modern trance-music. The band also features a great young bassplayer, Alioune Wade from Senegal, who contributes with amazing melodic grooves and the voice of an angel.
