MAKADEM
Makadem is one of Kenya's most prominent contemporary artists. Reminding of a Kenyan version of Fela Kuti, his excellent musical sense and humor takes the stage with an amazing presence. He is a specialist of Benga music, arguably the most distinctive sound to have come out of Kenya's 70 years of creating urban music. Benga spread from the shores of Lake Victoria in the west where Makadem was born. Makadem´s songs speaks of the fluid nature of modern African culture and demonstrate the fusion that is at the heart of African identity. It´s up tempo music full of tradition and with a lot of story telling; The Nairobi based musicians, keyboardplayer Shadrack Makau bass player Chao Otieno and drummer Mathew Matix make everything groove. Guitarist John Mutombo is a Congolese Jimmy Hendrix.

SOWETO KINCH
Award winning alto-saxophonist and MC Soweto Kinch is one of the most exciting and versatile young musicians in both the British jazz and hip hop scenes. Undoubtedly, one of the few artists in either genre with a degree in Modern History from Oxford University he has amassed an impressive list of accolades and awards on both sides of the Atlantic. In October 2007, he won his second MOBO Award, at the O2 Arena, London where he was announced as the winner in the Best Jazz Act category- fending off stiff competition from the likes of Wynton Marsalis.

BEN BESIAKOV
Legendary latin jazz natural musical talent, Ben Besiakov, is one of the leading piano geniouses in Denmark. Discovered by Ben Webster, Besiakov´s jazz professional carreer started at Monmatre in 1971, at the age of 14. He adds his magic to the tunes of Makadem.

YULIESKY GONZALEZ GUERRA
Classically educated in Camagûey the Cuban trompet player Yuliesky Gonzalez Guerra, started early touring the world with big names like Omara Portuondo and Felix Valoy, from Buena Vista Social Club, Rolo Martínez from Cubanismo, Afro Cuban All Stars, Grammy winner René Luis Toledo, and Eddie Palmieri, to name a few. Since 2010 he is member of Berlin Big Band and Latin Awards Grammy winner Alexander Abreu & Habana de Primera and guest staring with Kenyan artist Makadem, Eddie Palmieri, Afro Cuban All Stars and many more.

CARLOS PÉREZ
Leader of Award winning Grupo Danson In 2001 a promising young Cuban trombonist Carlos Perez put together some of the best salsa musicians in Denmark creating Grupo Danson and its unique sound based on the passionate love for music and the cultural meeting between two very different cultures; the Scandinavian and the Latin. Pérez is performing on ’La Rumba Soy Yo’, that recieved the Latin Grammy Award in 2001.

KUKU AGAMI
Rapper, actor, multilingual prince in exile - Kuku Agami is a man with many titles and talents and a well-known and critically acclaimed name in the music scene. Kuku has performed at the Roskilde Festival, Skanderborg, Langeland andcountless other venues both in Dk and abroad as a solo artist, with Sweatshop (own group), Ridin Thumb and is as well a regular part of Ida Corr band.

CARL WINTHER
The young bright star on the Danish Jazz scene, just won the 32nd Gexto Jazz Competion with his Trio, son of the legendary trumpet player Jens Winther, started his carreer winning Linchøping Jazz Award in 2006, and performing with his father since early age. A natural talent, who graduated 2011 as outstanding student form the Rhythmic Music Conservatory in Copenhagen, while touring the world with names such as NHOP, Billy, Hart, Jerry Bergonzi, Adam Nusbaum, Doug Raney, to name a few.
