YULIESKY GONZALEZ
With a profound knowledge of both the history of Cuban Jazz as well as the Cuban popular music, and the influences of Classical European music as well as crispy African rhythms, Yuliesky Gonzalez has a fluent ability to write new Cuban Jazz, with an elegance and variation that makes the listener hold the breath in enjoyment. He is capable of lifting the compositions to a level of such quality, that even hardcore musicians get inspired by the innovative tunes.

Classically educated in Camaguey, the young trumpet player started early performing with big names like Omara Portuondo and Felix Valoy, from Buena Vista Social Club, Rolo Martinez from Cubanismo, Grammy winner Rene Luis Toledo, Eddie Palmieri, Alexander Abreu & Habana de Primera, to name a few. Since 2010 he is member of Berlin Big Band and in 2011 he became member of the Kenyan artist Makadem, expanding the band to Makadem & The Afro Cuban Experience. HIs own band "Tierra Caliente" was established in 2010.

CUBAN JAZZ
It was a straight yes from the two capacities, guitar player Bjarne Roupe (Miles Davis, Dizzy Gillespie, Hermeto Pascual, John Scofield, Deedee Bridgewater, Eddie Harris, Toots Thielemans) and Saxplayer Tomas Franck (Joe Henderson, Jerry Bergonzi, Toots Thielemans, John Scofield, Eliane Elias, Bob Brookmeyer, Steve Swallow, Carla Bley, Ernie Wilkens, Art Farmer, Niels-Henning Orsted Pedersen, Dick Oates, Django Bates, David Sanborn) to form part of Gonzalez' group.

SALSA
Gonzalez´ Salsa group started of in Havana, performing all over Cuba with several shows. After moving to Europe, Yuliesky re-established the band and named it "Tierra Caliente" linking musically to the homeland. The band has the same members as in Cuba, except from the young female singer, Elaine Pérez who has the potential of becoming a new Celia Cruz. Pérez started early getting educated in classical music and piano. Her singing is based on the knowledge of Son and Salsa. She has the elegancy of the biggest singers in Jazz and Son.

The male singer, Jari Rojas, sings like a funky street kid, his voice is crispy and sexy, and he knows to make a great show full of feeling and good sense of humor. He has been singing Rumba, Salsa and Son since his childhood, and he is inspired by Jazz and Soul as well. He makes a great contrast to the angelic voice of Pérez.

The groovy salsa band will make any audience feel like the very best best Cuban clubs. Yuliesky´s music is elegant, crispy and hot. Great authentic music in high level party style.
"Tierra Caliente" will be CD releasing in spring 2012.
