When one of the leading tenors of the Turkish opera stages; Huseyin Likos who has a genuine interest in his national culture and heritage despite the total difference in styles and with his approach to East and West shared his thoughts with composer and conductor Serdar Yalcin, a remarkable project came out.
Addition of Turkish music instruments to the ensemble and special arrangements resulted Zeki Muren's unforgettable songs to become lieds which all enjoy.
Utmost attention was given not to lose the modal qualities and unique flavours of the songs while these were being made.
Zeki Muren was also known for his impeccable diction and use of Turkish. The prominent tenor of the Turkish opera scene; Huseyin Likos is also known for his diction in opera singing and regarded as one of the very few singers who can perform these songs.
