The content of this recording is based on ICOT’s first project ,“Persian Piano Night”, which was performed in Toronto in 2011. This concert included 4 newly composed pieces by the members of the group, and a few pieces by other well-known Iranian composers. The extraordinary reception of this concert compelled ICOT to tour this concert to three more cities in Ontario and Quebec in 2012. Since then ICOT has performed a slightly varied form of this program in various regions of Canada 4 more times. This recording contains a selection of the pieces that have been performed throughout the past 5 years.
