Stepped into the music industry as a bass player and radio DJ in 1993. He had the opportunity to examine American entertainment industry during his business management education at the University of California, Riverside. Worked in various music companies between 1995 - 2003 in the fields of commercial jingles, copyright administration and collective rights management. He also worked as an interim consultant for BIEM - CISAC (International Confederations of Copyright Societies) between 2003 - 2006. Selim focuses on foreign repertoire at Pelikan Muzik.
