Born in Vitória da Conquista, the wilderness of Bahia, Brasil. He holds a degree in Composing and Conducting and is a master in Orchestral Conducting, from UFBA, the Federal University of Bahia. He participated in the course of orchestral conducting with an approach in the phenomenology of music by the l'Association Celibidache in the Czech Republic. He began his guitar studies in 1982, with Carlos Alberto (Betuca), improving with instrumentalists such as Turíbio Santos, Leonardo Boccia, Mario Ulloa and Henrique Pinto, in Salvador and Rio de Janeiro. He has performed hundreds of concerts in Brazil
and Europe, performing the music of Villa-Lobos and Elomar. His first album, "Corda Bamba", was recorded in 2007 with the support of Petrobras Cultural.
