Phonix - Modern Danish Tradition

Phonix recieved 2 Danish Music Awards as Traditional Danish Artist of the Year 2008 and Danish Folk Vocalist of the Year 2008 for their album "PhonixFolk" from 2007.

Phonix is an exciting and award-winning band on the Danish folkmusic scene. For the past 12 years they have let their contagious and modern interpretations of traditional Danish music be heard at home in Denmark, as well as throughout Europe and North America.

Whether taking the stage of some of the world's biggest folk festivals or playing the smaller club concerts, the four talented musicians of Phonix captivate the listeners with their own special brew of breathtaking charisma, untamed enthusiasm and irresistible musical charm.

As they play, Phonix brings new life to the traditional music they love, and when they go on stage, they do so with such intensity and musicality that they are a joy to behold - for the ears as well as for the eyes.
