Four years after their first album, Retallable (PICAP 2004), Baetúria now present their second recording, by the name of Sonotone (PICAP 2008), done at the Bitstudi sound studios in Barcelona's Gràcia neighborhood and produced by Xavier Batllés, a well-known musician and producer on the Catalan music scene.

The band from El Vendrell take their music one step further on this album, displaying a whole new range of sound over the previous album, in part due to the arrival of new musicians and in part to their untiring search for new styles and sounds, though they never forgo the band's genuine roots. Baetúria's fans will not only find changes on a musical level, but in the lyrics as well, as the band has moved from its original focus on vital, ethical issues towards the more mundane, aspects of daily life.

Sonotone is designed as a tool to allow the audience to delve into the band's music, of an orange tone dissolving in transparent fluids awash with reality and existential doubts.
