‘KARMA’
This album is maybe a word that what have to be said is said at a period of time when a person is at the most mature and productive stage of her life…
Using the music professionally which runs for help where experiences and words are not enough requires not only being a musician but also being an artist. Karma, in this sense, is an artwork. Besides its philosophical meaning it’s the composition of many life and musical experiences.
So that, some songs are like leaving a wreath either on the private feelings in our private lives or incidents resulted with mass losses which traumatized us…
Composer, arranger, pianist Ceyda Pirali is releasing her new album ‘Karma’ with Kalan Müzik label on the 10th of May. The composition and arrangements of 11 song album are by Ceyda Pirali.
The album is recorded at JW studios and its mix and mastering are done by Bora Ebeoğlu. In the album, Oya Küçümen contributed to the song ‘Giderim Bu Diyardan’ composed by Cengiz Onural with her vocals and in ‘Edirne Blues’ song Serkan Çağrı contributed with clarinet and Volkan Öktem with drum.
The themes created by Ceyda Pirali with her piano are supported by tricky professional improvisations played by her band mates and they will make the listeners smile. The mixture of the rich perspective of jazz and classic music and delicious composition our geography are frequently sensed in the album.
‘KARMA’ is a reference album with its emotional intensity and the mastership of its compositions and tricks.
CEYDA PİRALİ (Composer, Arranger, Pianist)
She was born in Istanbul. She began her music journey in Istanbul University State Conservatuary, Piano Department. After 8 years of education, she gratuated from Istanbul University Faculty of Economics, Department of Management. She had “ film scoring” education in Berklee College of Music. She completed her master’s degree in the field of Music Production and Management in İTÜ MİAM (Istanbul Technical University Dr. Erol Üçer Center for Advanced Studies in Music).
Since 1999 she has been composing music for TV series, film and advertisements with Aria group. Besides being a composer, she continues her composition, arranging and tonmeister works in JW Music studios which she founded in 2005. She actualized many album and song productions in JW studios. After she had been charged as Walt Disney music director in İmaj Studios in 2007 she worked with various groups and artists as a pianist and music director besides her studio works. She speeded up her orchestration works with “İçinden İstanbul Geçen Şarkılar” (Songs from which Istanbul is Passing Through).With her songs and string arrangements she gave concerts with Italians in Medin Music Festival, Istanbul and various cities of Italy in 2011.
She had the world premiere of ADA, her symphonic work composed of Turkish western tunes which she composed for German Hochsaurlandkreis Orchestra, in March 2018 in Germany. She continues to give concerts with Piatango group (which she is the founder of) in the scope of their first album “Yeni Aşk”.
