Ayny – My second Eye poetically tells the eternal story of the destruction of warfare and man's will to survive. A cruel war has taken two brothers’ home. Anxious her sons could come into danger if they leave the house, their mother overprotects them. But the boys chase their dream to play a music instrument they’ve fallen in love with – a beautiful Oud. They collect scrap metal to earn the money and must find out their mother’s fear was for a good reason. As strong birds will always fly, however, the brothers become one to overcome their trauma.

Ahmad Saleh is a writer and director of Palestinian descent based in Germany. His works have collected awards and recognition in Palestine, Europe, USA, Iran and Jordan. Ayny – My second Eye, won the Oscar Student Academy Award in 2016 for best Foreign Animation.
