The UK is one of the world’s key music territories, yet its complex entry and visa laws and the costs involved are beginning to dissuade or even prohibit attempts by foreign artists to visit, resulting in the UK being off-limits to overseas tour schedules. The same also applies to the Republic of Ireland which has its own unique entry regulations. This panel includes three veterans who are highly experienced in negotiating the intricacies of these matters. They will endeavour to explain the current regulations governing entry to the UK and Ireland, outline the costs involved and how to reduce them. There will also be a discussion on the possibility of starting a lobby with an aim at low-cost, short-visit visas for artists.
