Last December, Françoise Ramel was in Dakar with the Mondoblog community. Back home, she contacted the Festival des Nomades and asked how we can help this event’s place in desert. After 13 editions, this rural festival doesn’t know how to escape the question more central than any other: “will there be a next time?” Used to creating their production with little money, this organisation lives thanks to people working for free.

They use a beautiful energy to create local strategies and international citizen solidarities. As nomads, their way of thinking is a good contribution for changing our own way of being, together and stronger than hostilities, whether they come from human fears, ambitions, decisions or climate evolution.

This festival in the Sahara is interesting as a work-in-progress, organised by those that care about strong realities and fight against dissolution and fatalism with their own believes and values.
