Desmond Neysmith (UK), musician, Chineke! Foundation and laureate, Sphinx Competition

During the session, Afa Dworkin will facilitate a conversation with a panel of artists and leaders (Chi-chi Nwanoku and Desmond Neysmith) whose contributions embrace the ideals of inclusiveness, diversity and relevance, with the ideal aim of enriching the field of classical music.

Our time will be spent engaging actively with the audience, building upon discussions and observations made over the course of Classical:NEXT and of the past year. Our goal will be to further awaken our collective awareness of who surrounds us in both our professional and personal lives and why it may be important to mindfully include multiple voices to propel our field forward.
