Bassist Noh Seonteck has been the driving force of the Korean reggae scene for a number of years, first with his band Windy City, before forming NST & The Soul Sauce in 2015, expanding the reggae remit with elements of Afro-beat, funk and psychedelic soul.
In 2017, they upped their game several notches by inviting multiaward- winning traditional pansori vocalist, Kim Yulhee into the ranks, resulting in a totally original fusion that defies categorisation because it invents its own. With her commanding presence and powerful voice, Kim Yulhee effortlessly moulds the stylised vocal mannerisms of pansori into the deep Afro-reggae grooves of the band, creating a new international soul music.
Their first album together was released this year and they’ve been busy touring it at home and in Japan, Hong Kong, the US, Colombia and Chile.
