Coordinated by Hinurewa te Hau (New Zealand), director, Matariki Cultural Foundation

The Pan Indigenous Network Network has become a global gathering for our indigenous communities across the world – born out of the simple idea: to bring together Indigenous cultures - music and song which is central to identity, place and belonging, and are an expression of a unique and continuing tradition. Indigenous music has an important place in the transmission and survival of Indigenous cultures.

The 2020 Network Meeting will be the 3rd expression of indigeneity, where participants will get to share their culture, language, activism and tradition. As an informal meeting there will be a meet and greet and conversation to introduce cultural expression, cultural narrative and build cross cultural collaborations.

This is an hour-long Network Meeting as the first get-together with an announcement of the in-depth sessions and conversations coming up the next day.
