Gilles Garand will present a powerpoint about the masters of the Quebec tradition, the paths of the memory of this oral culture with its French origins in song and story, and how it lives now in the Quebec traditional festival and events.
This will be followed by sources of Scottish and Irish music that brought us reels, jigs and 6/8. Then the new generation of artists who will trad-vibrate major venues and festivals in the world will be presented.
