Classical:NEXT Wrapped For 2018!

Classical:NEXT 2018 Trade Fair

Classical:NEXT has wrapped for another year, setting a record in attendance of participants, artists, delegates, and industry experts coming from across the globe and making it the largest gathering of art music professionals to date.
The halls of the de Doelen congress centre, on the expo floor, and during conference sessions were abuzz with inspiring discussions, debates and collaborations.

This year, the Classical:NEXT Innovation Award celebrates the most outstanding projects involved with orchestras or large ensembles , before a final showcase from Grammy winning Roomful of Teeth. Congratulations to the winners, Aurora Orchestra, The Lahti Symphony Orchestra and Les Talens Lyriques.

Given the success of this edition it might not come as a surprise that de Doelen and Piranha Arts will extend their partnership to hold Classical:NEXT in Rotterdam again in 2019. The dates will be 15 – 18 May 2019, and major networks have already hinted at returning next year.

Thank you to everyone who made it. We're looking forward to seeing you all again next year!
