Each year, all of our WOMEX schedules are filled to the brim. With so many colleagues to meet and network with, conferences to attend, showcases to check out, films to watch, the list goes on and on; there is never enough time.

So if you ended up not being able to watch some films from the 2019 Film Programme, don't sweat. The WOMEX film team has you covered! We are thrilled to continue with the WOMEX Films on Demand initiative from last year, giving all WOMEX 19 accredited delegates exclusive online access to the 2019 Film Programme on the virtualWOMEX platform. From November onwards, in collaboration with filmmakers and producers, 15 films in total are exclusively available to you. Each month from now until May 2020, we will put 2-3 films online on the platform for 30 days only.

We kick off the films on-demand section with two beautiful films by two talented female artists/filmmakers. Emmanuelle Antille's takes us on a journey through the mystery of the creative process in the footsteps of cult singer Karen Dalton in A Bright Light: Karen & the Process. Kosovan director Kaltrina Krasniqi, on the other hand, takes us on a layered journey from Prizren, Kosovo to Avila, Spain on the tune of Bach's unaccompanied cello suites, in the poetic documentary Sarabande. We also continue our interviews series, talking to the artists behind the films and the musical projects in a section called A Conversation With.... This month we chatted with Emmanuelle Antille on her artistic practice and life.

To take advantage of this exclusive offer, head to the 2019 Film Programme web page and click on the Films on Demand section. Once there select the film(s) you would like to watch. On the left-hand side of the film page is a videos section where you can watch the entire film plus trailer, but you must log in to your virtualWOMEX account to do so. And yes you can also connect with the filmmakers through your account!

Please feel free to contact the film team at film@piranha-arts.com if you have any questions or comments.
