The first line-up of the WOMEX Official Showcase Selection has now been announced - 23 artists with musicians from 28 countries from five continents...we're looking forward to bringing you music from Angola to Venezuela, the Czech Republic to Uzbekistan and our host region Galicia. These artsists were chosen by the Seven Samurai: our international, independent jury of world music experts had the difficult task of selecting only a tiny percentage of all the high-quality submissions from 120 countries.
