From his Cameroon birthplace, through his student days in Paris, to his move to New York, Gino Sitson has carried his precious instrument with him: his amazing 4-octave voice. The stations on his journey are reflected in the music of this album. Cool and funky jazzy grooves combine with explosively energetic Cameroonian rhythms and virtuoso vocals with roots in the polyphonic traditions of his homeland.
