WOMEX is the world's biggest professional music Conference, Trade Fair and Showcase for World, Roots, Folk, Ethnic, Traditional, Alternative World, Local and Diaspora music. It is "the principal market for world music" according to France's Le Monde.

Traveling from Berlin (1994, 1999, 2000) across Brussels (1995), Marseilles (1997), Stockholm (1998), Rotterdam (2001), Essen (2002, 2004), Newcastle Gateshead (2005), Sevilla (2003, 2006-2008) to Copenhagen (2009 - 2011), WOMEX has grown from 200 to 2700 delegates, making it the most anticipated, productive and successful professional event of the world music year. Following on from a top notch production in 2009, we return once again to beautiful Copenhagen in 2010 - boasting a new daytime venue right in the lively city centre.
