Hungarian Heartbeats celebrates some of the musical and cultural diversity that continues to flourish in Budapest and other cities, towns and villages. Our presenters provide an intriguing glimpse into the evolution of the Opening concert and explain the ideas and concept behind it. They will also offer an overview of the development of Hungarian folk music and the current trends in Hungarian world music, as well as introducing the work of the Folk Music Department of the Liszt Academy of Music.
