With more and more forward thinkers, innovative solutions and a growing number of venues with international programming and standards developing in Dubai and Beirut, the Middle East is raising its profile on the world music map.
Of course, questions remain: Are cities like Cairo, Beirut, Dubai or even Damascus ready to connect and welcome collaborations with Europe or the USA? Is there a real market for innovative music in the Middle East?
This presentation will address these issues and illustrate some of the positive developments taking place at the time of the 'Arab Revolution'.
