CLASSICAL:NEXT * C3 Festival, 23 Nov - 3 Dec, Berlin-Essen-Gdansk
The Club Contemporary Classical Festival is kicking off tomorrow in Germany and Poland. The C3 Festival, a "labor of love" put together by Classical:Next Director Jennifer Dautermann, presents new music which falls into the grey zone between the genres of contemporary classical and electronic club music, from tighly-structured techno through to free-flowing ambient.
An international program ranging from the avantgarde to the downright funky will be presented from 23 November through 3 December in unique locations in Berlin, Germany (Berghain and Radialsystem), in Essen,Germany (Welterbe Zollverein) and in Gdansk, Poland (St. John's Center).
Featured artists include Arandel, Brandt Brauer Frick Ensemble,Francesco Tristano, Hauschka, Jacaszek& Silva Rerum, Julian Elvira & Jesus Navarro, Kai Schumacher, Kwartludium& Sebastian Meissner, Moritz Eggert& Shraeng, Nemezis, Pierre Jodlowski, Trio ESJ, Victoire und Zeitkratzer. The C3 Festival is supported by the German Federal Cultural Foundation.
