End Of The Year Review & Greetings

2008 is reaching its end. It's time to have a look back at what happened this year in virtualWOMEX.

First of all: we grew! We have now over 10'000 delegates for over 4800 companies. This has to do with the overall growth of the yearly WOMEX, but also an increasing number of companies who registered for virtualWOMEX only.

This year, we have provided new ways to increase the visibility of your company. First, we developed the advanced search. It now allows to better restrict your search to specific categories. Check it out!

Last April, we decided to open the audio content to the public. This means that visitors don't have to be registered delegates of virtualWOMEX to hear the music featured on an artist profile - everyone can access the music you post!

Also, through our partnership with DISMARC, we proposed that every record posted get transferred to the DISMARC database, part of the Europeana digital library (which was a victim of its own success and should be back online by January 2009). Many companies have already accepted this free offer, transferring 325 records to the DISMARC database and thus providing more publicity for them. If your company is not part of it, this offer is still valid and we would encourage you to consider it. Have a look at the conditions.
