Born in Hamburg to German-Cuban parents, Frank Klaffs has been active in the global music industry for over 20 years. After his graduation in business administration at Berlin University he worked as a manager for Gee Street Records (London) and other labels, built the Label-Commission Berlin - a business network of more than 100 independent music companies in the capital region of Berlin - and was responsible for publicity campaigns for artists like the Afrocuban Allstars, Robert Wyatt, Staff Benda Bilili, Taj Mahal, The Klezmatics, Tinariwen and WOMEX. Currently he is directing the Copyright & Publishing department of the Berlin-based record label Piranha Musik & IT.
